Brian M. Walton is an award-winning educator, motivational speaker, and CEO of Red Carpet DC - Washington's premier entertainment media company.

 

Brian Walton has distinguished himself as a rising star among motivational speakers. His message of achieving success through enthusiasm, and perseverance through all obstacles, inspires and challenges listeners to go beyond what they thought was possible and to achieve their dreams.

 

“Success is not a goal, but a lifestyle,” he says, when referring to the change in mindset (and behavior) that must occur for people to move from wanting success to being successful. His entertaining style and engaging demeanor are part of the formula that has propelled him to a legacy of success in the fields of education, business and entertainment.

 

A 1995 graduate of the University of Maryland, he began teaching in the Prince George’s County Public School system in 2001. In 2007, he was selected as a Fulbright Fellow and was one of 12 teachers to travel to Ghana in West Africa to evaluate and make recommendations for improvements in that nation’s educational system. In 2010, he was nominated for Teacher of the Year in Prince George’s County (MD).  Mr. Walton was also an on-air participant in the 2010 Education Town Hall with Secretary of Education Arne Duncan on Sirius XM’s “Politics of the United States” channel, broadcast to more than 22 million subscribers.

 

In 2009, he founded Red Carpet DC, an entertainment media firm specializing in event planning, content development, and marketing. It has grown to become one of the major players in the Washington, DC area arts and entertainment scene, boasting partnerships with major arts organizations, top performance venues, and local universities.

 

As a motivational speaker, Mr. Walton is a noted expert on business and personal development, teacher training  (having been a training leader for the Maryland State Department of Education), and a church security expert (having served as the Director of Training for the First Baptist Church of Glenarden ( MD) – with a membership of more than 15,000).

 

Mr. Walton is a highly sought-after master of ceremonies and corporate trainer, having spoken for many organizations including the Miss Black USA Pageant, and the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)’s National Leadership Institute. He completed his Master’s Degree in Education in December 2012 from the University of Maryland, and is currently a District Instructional Coach within the San Jose Unified School District (CA) where he is responsible for presenting teacher training through workshops and team coaching for the teachers. Mr. Walton resides in San Jose, CA with his wife, Soyini Taylor Walton and son, Brian II.
